Over One Hundred Shoe Boxes of Gifts for Operation Christmas Child

Bablake Junior School pupils have put together over 100 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child this year. This charity sends gifts to needy children around the world who might otherwise not receive a gift this Christmas.

Bablake has supported this very worthwhile cause for many years and this year the number of shoe boxes put together by Bablake pupils looks like being a record.

"The children have been fantastic," says Mrs Katie Dawson, the school's charity co-ordinator. "They  are always keen to help other children in the world who are less fortunate than they are and the shoeboxes are particularly lovely because they have to be put together with such a great deal of thought."
