Reports & Grades

To help focus pupil endeavour and co-operative learning between school and home, grades for attainment and effort are issued termly in all subjects. This  allows parents to scrutinise their child's progress. Parents Evenings are held twice a year to follow up these grades and parents are encouraged to speak to their child's Form Teacher should any concerns emerge either through the grading system or on any other occasion. Grades also come with Form Teacher's comments concerning a child's general progress. The grades have the appearance of a short report.

Full and detailed subject reports are written at the end of the Spring Term. This means the report is both a reflection of the pupil's attainment to date and that time is still available for efforts to be refocussed as we approach the end of the academic year.

A very important part of life at Bablake Junior School is the relationship between a pupil, their parents and teachers. Communication is encouraged. At all times the staff at Bablake Junior School work with parents to ensure that pupils not only maximise their academic potential but are also content and confident young people.
