Cross Country Season Opens with Success!

The Year 6 girls got off to a fantastic start to the cross country season by winning the eight school event last weekend at St Martins.

Holding off a late challenge form Edgebaston Girls, the  Bablake team led from the start although by the third leg of this 4 X 1 mile relay Edgebaston caught up. Freya was not to be outshone however and she re-took the lead early on in the last lap to bring the team home well in front.

The Year 5 girls also ran with great determination to finish 4th. For several of the girls this was their fist ever outing and their performances showed great promise. Well done everyone!
