Coventry Schools Cross-country Relay Success!

Junior School Sports

After a little delay and following some extra training, the boys, girls and mixed relay teams travelled the short distance to Keresley Grange in keen anticipation.

The girls ran their customary race, Lawou leading off with great determination to finish her lap with the team in second place. Sophie than ran very strongly to overhaul the leader from Stivichall and Hattie and Jasmyn worked hard and consolidated the lead.  This was a a fantastic win to seal a great season for the girls. They swept everything before them, winning all the Coventry School Competitions along the way.

The boy's team too ran with great determination. Conor led off and secured an early lead which was held until the last leg when the boy's individual champion from Manor Park just managed to get past Lucas. Patrick and Assad had both run great support legs in between.

The mixed team also ran well. Evie, Katy, Ben Harrison and Ben Rigden, all dug deep to come home a very commendable 11th. Many schools had put their best runners into this event and out of over 20 schools taking part that day this was a commendable performance.

Well done everyone!
