Singing for Charity!

Junior School Charity

Bablake Junior School pupils sang their hearts out in aid of Birmingham Childrens Hospital Cancer Ward Appeal this afternoon. These efforts have been led by Grace Hollis, a Year 5 pupil at Bablake.  Her cousin George is also a pupil at the school and is now well on the road to recovery from Leukaemia.

The children at the school sang for 1½ hours and were led by Bablake Junior's Music Teacher, Marion Mason.  All the children at Bablake Pre Prep had sung for an hour in the morning.

George was given fantastic care at the Childrens Hospital and he is very pleased that Grace is leading these efforts.

Headmaster Neil Price said "George's recovery is a wonderful outcome from very very challenging circumstances.  Sadly, there are thousands of children who in the future will need the care that Birmingham Childrens Hospital provides.  Everybody at Bablake Junior School wants to help support positive outcomes from that immensely challenging experience.  The singing afternoon is our way of saying "Thank You" to everyone at the hospital and to help them keep up the good work.  Grace and George have inspired us all."
